About Me
I would like to introduce myself! My name is Kristen O'Brien. I am a wife and mother to three wonderful children. My husband and I have two sons, 8 and 6, and a daughter who is 3. We live in the country with our dog, Roscoe, and our cat, Charlie, in southwest Missouri.
I am a Title I Reading and Math teacher at St. Mary's Elementary School. In addition to Title I, I also teach academically talented 1st through 6th graders. As you might imagine, there is never a dull moment while I am at school doing what I love - TEACHING. Prior to my current position, I taught 6th grade for 3 years and 2nd grade for 4 years.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and surfing the web. I love to explore other teacher's web sites and blogs to get ideas to use in my teaching. I am amazed at what so many wonderful teachers are sharing with their students. Technology is really changing the way we teach and our students learn. Teaching is a very exciting and fast-paced career and I love every minute of it!
